After a nice little winter break at home celebrating Christmas and New Year with family it was time to start again.
As you might know i started my season in Australia on the Australian Tour, which is a great way to prepare for the year in perfect weather and with some good tournaments.
Lets go over some of the highlights of the pro ams in Sydney and the tournament at the RACV Royal Pines in GoldCoast and the Oates Victorian Open in Melbourne.
First I started in Castle Hills, Pennant Hills and Oatlands. We had some very hot days with temperatures up to 43 degrees. It wasn't to bad of a start, I had a couple of rounds under par which helps with building up the confidence. Afterwords me and 3 other girls made a road trip to the Gold Coast, where we played the beautiful hope island resort course and the RACV Gold Coast Challenge. I made the cut at the RACV with a slow start a round of +5 but finished ok.
Next up was the Oates Victorian Open in Melbourne where we had some very tough days with a lot of wind. First day i was a little unlucky with the draw, we had lot of wind in the afternoon, up to 4 clubs which made it pretty difficult. Unfortunately, i missed the cut but i was happy about my second round of -2.
After that I went to Adelaide for the Australian Open where I had to try to qualify for the actual tournament. I didn't play bad during the qualifying round but not good enough for a spot in the Australian Open.
I am almost finishing up here with two more pro ams to play in Brisbane before
going home. Exciting to go there and finish strong before going back to some colder temperatures.
I will keep you updated for the last two pro ams and the rest of the season.
